The Quickest Way To STOP WORKING SO MUCH

I was just listening to one of my virtual mentors and he said something that I needed to hear.

We all love confirmation right? We don’t NEED confirmation but we certainly love it!
Anyway, 2015 has been an incredible year of continued learning and expanding. I am in awe of how things are going and it’s only the beginning of the second quarter! The most incredible part about this year is I find myself working WAY LESS than I have since 2006!
Back to what my virtual mentor said today. He said “The way that we start to work less….IS TO WORK LESS!”
I nearly fell out of my seat with excitement! Sounds easier said than done huh? It actually is EASY. It’s all about perception.
We perceive that we must work harder and longer because it’s the continued, day in and day out self-talk that is playing itself over and over again in our minds, but I know through my own personal experience that when you shift your way of thinking YOUR ACTIONS WILL FOLLOW.
In 2013 I started to concentrate my thoughts on a phrase called TIME-FREEDOM. When I heard it I didn’t know exactly what it was but it sounded self-explanatory and I knew I had to have it!
As the years have progressed I have learned to CLEARLY DEFINE what Time-Freedom means for me and my family. This along with believing that I could have Time-Freedom, and actively paying attention every step of the way, has assisted me to be able to breathe easier knowing that I am doing what I love to do, mostly when I want to do it, and in way less time.

P.S. Assisting people to GET CLEAR is what I live for because I have assisted myself, and IT has assisted me!
I have created a membership group/FAMILY called Coaching At Home to assist in “peeling back the layers” of self-limiting beliefs so that you can EXPERIENCE CLARITY in whatever aspects of your life that you desire.

Brand Yourself

Brand YOU!

I am really feeling the desire to express how important it is to Brand YOURSELF.

Let me explain.

I started my coaching and mentoring business two years ago this past March and immediately did what a lot of people do. I called it something else other than my own name. Which is fine but not great. At least in my opinion.

Thanks to Tracey Walker, with Empower Network,  I understand the importance of branding my own name.

Here are some of the things I learned in going through the process of creating a brand using a “company name” vs. branding yourself.

1) You don’t have to call your company something else in order for it to be recognized by others. In fact it’s probably more difficult to recognized by your friends and family because guess what? IT’S NOT YOU! LOL

2) You have to work hard to identify with a name other than your name. My current company is called Motivation Made Simple, and although I like and identify with what I am trying to portray through this name, it is just that…a name I had to try to identify with.

My Name As A Brand

3) There’s nothing wrong with MY NAME as a brand name. In fact, there’s EVERYTHING right with my name as a brand name because it accurately reflects WHO I AM and WHAT I’M ABOUT.

What do I mean by this?

There’s one thing I know better than anything else… that’s myself, or at least I have mastered the art of getting to know myself which brings me to number 4.

4) Things certainly do change! Although I thought that I accurately expressed my company through the name I chose, I have grown to understand that not only do I motivate as reflected in the brand name Motivation Made Simple…..I INSPIRE people! This is my true passion…TO INSPIRE OTHERS!

5) Don’t box yourself in. At times, when we have chosen a name that is other than our own, we box ourselves into the idea that came along with that name in terms of company growth.

6) Last but certainly not least, the world deserves to get to know YOU,who you are and what you stand for through your name as a brand.

I believe it’s much easier for a person to show themselves to the world when you are using your own name!

Start marketing yourself as a brand today!

Keep Singing

Keep Singing Even If You Don’t Know The Words

I woke up yesterday to the vocal stylings of my son Michael singing the song Viva La Vida by the group Coldplay!

I didn’t know the name of the song or the group at the time but NEITHER DID HE!

All I heard was WOOAAOOOOO! WOOAAOOOOO! WOOAAOOOO!

It was GREAT!

ENERGETIC!

FUN!

IT MADE ME HAPPY!

Even though he didn’t know the words to the song he kept singing as if he did!

It taught me so many things about DREAMING. Click the link to join and reawaken your dreams.

The fact that we, as adults, think we need to have all the answers; That in order to hold on to the dream we have inside, we have to know the who, what, when, where and why of it all.

We think we HAVE TO know the words to the song that our heart is singing.

We couldn’t be further from understanding the reality of it.

Singing Does  A Mind Good

WOOAAOOOO! WOOAAOOOO! WOOAAOOOO! WOOAAOOOO!

SEE!

You’re smiling already!

As you continue to listen to the song that your heart is singing, your dream, you begin the become more and more in tune.

You start to know the words because everything about you desires to be in concert with YOUR SONG.

Amazing how just an exercise in singing WITHOUT KNOWING the words, can teach us so much.

Thanks to my son Michael Scott, and thank YOU for stopping by!

Thank you in advance for visiting my website by clicking the link below and “TUNING” in to your hearts song.

WOOAAOOOO! WOOAAOOOO! WOOAAOOOO!

Forgiveness Equals Money?

Forgiveness Equals Money!

I was recently doing a meditation and focusing my intention on how much money I will be making through Empower Network.

I began to focus, making sure that I searched my entire being in order to see if there were any hidden reservations within me, that would be a possible hindrance to my ability to manifest EXACTLY the amount of money I desire.

How can you tell whether their are hindrances to your making money through Empower Network?

Your body will tell you if there is any reservation or hindrance to what you desire.

After all, the reason you don’t have what you desire RIGHT NOW is because of the hindrance that has been allowed to exist thus far, so it’s definitely worth investigating.

How will your body inform you of potential hindrances to making money through Empower Network?

Your body will tell you by indicating your level of anxiety or fear, based on the thought that you are focusing on.

I know!

Interesting right?

Anyway, it turns out that what was brought to my attention was ironic to say the least.

The word that came to me was FORGIVE!

WOW!

FORGIVE!?!

Yes, FORGIVE!

So what does FORGIVENESS have to do with money?

This wasn’t the question I asked at the time, however it makes perfect sense!

What I was shown was a piece of paper at the bottom of a sea bed and on top of the paper was a brick.

The piece of paper represented myself, while the brick represented the “weight of un-forgiveness.”

When we have ANY level of un-forgiveness, resentment, anger, etc. toward another, or others, we cannot function at our optimal level of creativity and in turn, what would effortlessly come to us,cannot, because we are too “weighed down” to flow with the limitlessness of the Universe.

Making sense now?

The lesson:

Let’s forgive quickly so that we can function and receive to our fullest capacity, in the limitlessness and boundlessness of this awesome UNIVERSE!

Change The Entire Course Of Your Company

Change the entire course of your company

I am speaking to business OWNERS!

I am an Executive/Life Coach and created my company Motivation Made Simple two years ago this month(March 2013).

I have spoken to allot of people and in the course of having those conversations, one thing remains clear.

In order for a person to not only run their business effectively, but for the business to grow…The individual(s) who runs the show MUST grow THEMSELVES.

What do I mean by this?

The following are what I mean:

Change your mind, change your ways, or rather the outcomes:

Let’s begin here.

People believe that just because they have been functioning the same way for, let’s say, 5,10,15 years, that nothing can be changed, or they don’t even consider it.

This cannot be further from the truth.

Shifts in mindset happen instantaneously!

Yes, it will take some doing to change processes, procedures, etc., but from the moment YOUR mindset shifts, everything that follows is a whole heck of allot easier.

Change comes from YOU:

Because you are the “captain of the ship” change should come from YOU.

Again, a shift in mindset is instantaneous!

EXAMPLE: I use to have the mindset of attaining Executive/Life Coaching clients on a one-on-one basis, and to consult with them about every two hours.

NOW, I see ROOMS FULL of people all at once!

SEE!

A shift in mindset!

Obviously my processes and procedures must follow to be able to accommodate this change in mindset.

A Change, changes the leader and the others will follow:

What better example of what to do next and how, than the leader themselves?

change in a company happens from the top down.

Once given the opportunity, or rather talking to a skilled Executive/Life Coach who has a business and relationship-building background, “the stratosphere is the limit” for a leader because of the inner peace, and therefore free-flow of creativity can now take place.

I am not saying that this road is quick and easy.

You must be willing to do the work that it takes to invest in YOURSELF in order to see clear results.

However, who is more worth it than you?

A shift in mindset happens INSTANTANEOUSLY!

Why not RIGHT NOW?

2. Allow it to inspire you

Life Lessons from Scrooge

Scrooge Teaches Us To Take A Deeper Look Inside

I have always wanted to write about the character Scrooge from the story, A Christmas Carol, and the lessons he taught us regarding business and life; The fact that we affect our business dealings and relationships if we have not “grown” as an individual.

Kristen Lamb also utilizes the Scrooge character to teach valuable lessons. refer to an article entitled:What Ebenezer Scrooge Can Teach Us About Great Writing.

How can this be the case you may ask?

The answer is that there may be aspects of ourselves which may be causing us pain, sorrow, fear, anger, etc., that we are carrying with us every day that we wake up, and are not willing to take a deeper look inside.

Why is this important? Well, what has the potential to happen from day to day, week to week, month to month, or year to year, is that deep rooted emotions may lie dormant inside of us until something or someone reminds a particular emotion to wake them up!

The character of Scrooge carried allot of emotions outwardly that were indicators that he had other things going on, on the inside!

For Scrooge, he woke up each and every day, and wore his emotions in much the same way that someone would put on a coat before walking out the door.

Scrooge was a perfect example of someone who allowed so much time to go by without addressing what was bothering him, that he affected everyone he came in contact with, whether personally or in business.

Scrooge Looks Deeper

If you know the story of Scrooge, you realize that Scrooge was visited by three ghosts who would change the course of his life.

For the sake of this article, let’ s pretend that each ghost actually represented a part of Scrooge’s conscience.

DEEPER STILL…

Each aspect of Scrooge’s conscience had to come directly TO Scrooge because it came directly FROM Scrooge!

The ghost of Christmas Past: This part of Scrooge’s conscience appeared so that Scrooge could gain clarity about a series of events which he perceived to have impacted his life in the present.

The ghost of Christmas Present: This part of Scrooge’s conscience appeared, giving him the opportunity to appreciate the HERE and NOW. That Scrooge could truly learn to “Like life.”

I LIKE LIFE!

The ghost of Christmas Future: This part of Scrooge’s conscience appeared for Scrooge to realize that he, himself is the creator of his Future, and that whatever he perceives it to be, he has the opportunity to change it.

Change your mind, change your life!

If YOU look deeper, the character of Scrooge really does teach us many different life lessons.

Welcome to the Path of Self Awareness

To find out why I have chosen this blogging platform…

Light Bulb Moment

I love watching the “light bulb” go off in a team full of people who once viewed EACH OTHER as the source of their process-related issues/concerns. When each team member realizes through a creatively used facilitation tool, i.e.,process-flow diagram, that there is no individual as the source of a process-related problem.
Most of the time, it is because each team member does not know what the individual steps are in any given process, and misconceptions about the actual issue are concealed.

Family Business

As a Mentor for not only individuals, but an Executive Coach, I am finding that more and more of my clients are entering into, or have been involved in a family owned and/or operated business venture. This kind of opportunity can be great, based on the fact that most people trust their own family members. Right? This can be the case however, trust is not the only thing that one must look at when entering into a business venture.

Whether or not, one shares the same drive, determination, passion and vision, is not only equally important, but pertainent to your company’s success. So before starting that “family affair”, try sitting down and talking about the vision, mission, and values of your company. Chances are that right at this beginning stage, everyone involved will understand each other better, and together, you will identify if everyone is “dining at the same table.”
