The Quickest Way To STOP WORKING SO MUCH

I was just listening to one of my virtual mentors and he said something that I needed to hear.

We all love confirmation right? We don’t NEED confirmation but we certainly love it!
Anyway, 2015 has been an incredible year of continued learning and expanding. I am in awe of how things are going and it’s only the beginning of the second quarter! The most incredible part about this year is I find myself working WAY LESS than I have since 2006!
Back to what my virtual mentor said today. He said “The way that we start to work less….IS TO WORK LESS!”
I nearly fell out of my seat with excitement! Sounds easier said than done huh? It actually is EASY. It’s all about perception.
We perceive that we must work harder and longer because it’s the continued, day in and day out self-talk that is playing itself over and over again in our minds, but I know through my own personal experience that when you shift your way of thinking YOUR ACTIONS WILL FOLLOW.
In 2013 I started to concentrate my thoughts on a phrase called TIME-FREEDOM. When I heard it I didn’t know exactly what it was but it sounded self-explanatory and I knew I had to have it!
As the years have progressed I have learned to CLEARLY DEFINE what Time-Freedom means for me and my family. This along with believing that I could have Time-Freedom, and actively paying attention every step of the way, has assisted me to be able to breathe easier knowing that I am doing what I love to do, mostly when I want to do it, and in way less time.
“80% of your outcomes come from 20% of your inputs.”

P.S. Assisting people to GET CLEAR is what I live for because I have assisted myself, and IT has assisted me!
I have created a membership group/FAMILY called Coaching At Home to assist in “peeling back the layers” of self-limiting beliefs so that you can EXPERIENCE CLARITY in whatever aspects of your life that you desire.

Success

What is your definition of success?

Allot of people who have been in the workforce for a long time may have forgotten to take the time to ask themselves this question. Just because you have worked at a particular job for a long time does not mean that you cannot make a change if so desired. Maybe you feel like you’re stuck in a “rut” in your life and can’t get out. It’s time to take another look at your life picture but where do I begin? I say, start with the easy part.

Take a look around you. Do you see and feel what you want to see and feel. Are your surroundings just as you would like for them to be. Are you happy when you wake up or do you get up begrudgingly? If any of these questions have caused you to stop and think…GOOD! Why should you continue feeling the same way as yesterday, and the yesterday before that? Why continue to go the same places, doing the same things? One of the best pieces of information I have heard is to WRITE IT DOWN! …Your thoughts, your feelings, on where you want to go, what you want to be doing, etc. Provide as much of the details that YOU WANT TO KNOW and hear from YOURSELF.

Once you have accurately pinpointed what you have always wanted to express, and you have does this WITHOUT JUDGEMENT of whether you will be able to accomplish what you’ve written, you are on your way!

Some of why we are unable to move forward, or make changes in our lives, is because we have not clearly defined what we want. Once you have clearly defined what you want, YOU are better able to hear and see the next steps to take. The definition of success is different for everyone. What is YOUR definition of success? Some of mine?…To have my own company(check). To have the freedom to say what I will and won’t do regarding my business(check). To not have to worry about a budget sometimes(working on it), etc.

Let’s talk.

Life and Work..Not a Balancing Act but Synchronicity

It has come to my attention over the years that in business and in life we attempt to find the balance. I have come to disagree with this understanding of how or rather what we attempt to do to have both, and have them in proportion to one another. Let me further explain. In attempting to balance one with the other, and because this may not be possible, you end up with resentment toward one or the other. However, our creative capacity as to the how of getting things done remains in the growing stages as we learn about the technology available to us.  I believe the answer, instead of trying to find the balance of one and the other, in work and life is to synchronize.

What is synchronicity? Wikipedia says the following: Synchronicity is the experience of two or more events that are apparently causally unrelated or unlikely to occur together by chance, yet are experienced as occurring together in a meaningful manner. The concept does not question, or compete with, the notion of causality. Instead it maintains that, just as events may be grouped by cause, they may also be grouped by meaning. A grouping of events by meaning need not have an explanation in terms of cause and effect.

Based on the above definition you can begin to see that work and life are not causally unrelated! Let’s look again to see how Wikipedia defines causality: Causality (also referred to as causation[1]) is the relationship between an event (the cause) and a second event (the effect), where the second event is understood as a consequence of the first.[2]

We go to work because it affects our life or rather the lifestyle we are afforded to live, therefore instead of categorizing one and then the other, in an effort to provide balance, I suggest creatively figuring out how to synchronize one with the other. As we open our hearts to this concept, the ideas will begin to flow. I am not suggesting that you take your child or spouse to work with you, but as the creative juices begin to flow, there are probably more opportunities than at first realized.

Open your heart to the idea of synchronizing work and life, and no longer accept the idea that things must be done as they always have been.

I see the light bulb coming on already! LOL
