No More Attachments to the Outcomes

What does it mean to have attachment to outcomes?

If you were to ask someone to write down what they want their life to feel and/or look like, somewhere before they even start writing, they will already have decided what things they can have and what things they cannot have. This is what it means to have attachment to the outcomes.

People will already limit the outcome based on their attachment to a self-imposed or society-imposed belief system, regarding what is possible and what is not possible.

We do not pay attention to the fact that we are usually already trying to figure out the answer based on attachment.

Some examples of the internal questions we struggle with as a result of having an attachment to the outcome are:

When is it going to happen?

Where is it going to happen?

How is it going to happen?

With whom will it happen?

There is limitation in attachment if we do not realize what our own core belief systems are.

Some examples of the internal questions we struggle with regarding core belief systems are:

Do I believe I am worthy?

Do I believe I can have?…

Do I believe things can change?

A practical example utilizing a tool called: Vision boarding

Some people utilize the tool of vision boarding in order to place images on a board to look at on a daily bases or as often as possible, until the images become a subconscious thought.

For some, this tool may not work if an individual’s core beliefs are that they are not worthy of what they desire to have, do not believe that things can change, or that they can have what they desire to have.

These are core beliefs but they are also forms of attachment that must be looked at by the individual, in order to detach from thoughts and beliefs that no longer apply to the individual.

Let’s detach from what no longer works for us.

Let’s detach from what no longer makes us happy.

Let’s form an attachment to those things that we believe from the core.

Let’s form an attachment to the tools that are going to get us there.

Help Me Help You Help Me

People are scared to ask for help.

People believe that if they ask for help that they are showing a sign of weakness.

Actually it’s quite the contrary.

If we continue to suffer in silence, we grow weaker and weaker because we didn’t try to receive help.

When you receive help and begin to feel better, I feel better too.

As the character Jerry McGuire iterates, that for another person to have more desire, and put forth more effort toward you than you put forth for yourself can be “An up at dawn, pride swallowing SEIGE!”

We will automatically in some way, shape, or form, drag others into our problems if we don’t get the help that we need and deserve.

After all, don’t we all want to achieve the QUAN!

It Means LOVE, RESPECT,COMMUNITY and THE DOLLARS TOO! THE QUAN! LOL

Did you know that everyone on the entire planet carries an energetic vibration that affects whatever it comes in contact with?

When your energy is vibrationally low, or you haven’t gotten help, you affect those around you.

Now that you understand how your NOT receiving help for whatever ails you,not only impacts you but others, does this change your mind about receiving help?

I sure hope so!

Don’t let your cry for help be a silent cry.

Thanks for stopping by!

I Hope I Never See You Again

I am a coach and mentor, and my approach and belief with regard to entering into the coach or mentor relationship, is that the relationship is short-lived!!

That’s right!!

I said short-lived!!

In fact, I HOPE I NEVER SEE YOU AGAIN!!

Why am I saying this?

I am saying this because many can perceive the coaching and mentoring relationship as the same kind of relationship as your clinical counselor, psychiatrist or psychologist, and although a clinical counselor can in fact call themselves coaches, a life coach by definition does not have to have a clinical degree.

On the opposite side of the spectrum, coaches and mentors can also behave with the mindset that a person needs to maintain an elongated relationship in order to achieve a successful outcome.

It is my personal belief that a person already has the answers within themselves, and that it is my job to assist in a person’s ability to bring forth, and become aware of the answers that reside within; In this case, an individual will not only be able to navigate the current situation, but those that follow as well.

Don’t get me wrong! I would love to chit chat over a nice cup of tea while you are expressing the successes that you have been able to maintain because of the coaching and/or mentoring that you received through Motivation Made Simple, but NOT because I believe that we MUST have a long-term coaching relationship.

What Is  A  Life Coach?

A Life Coach is someone who has an expertise in a specific area based on personal experience and overcoming a situation or circumstance, therefore providing services to others who also need assistance regarding that same kinds of situations or circumstances.

Coaches specialize in many different areas of expertise such as:

Life

Spirituality

Marriage

Relationships in general

Adolescence

Career

Executive Coaching and more.

For the purposes of this post, I have only written about the areas I specialize in.

What Is An Executive Coach?

An Executive Coach can function in various ways, with a couple of those ways being that the Coach provides assistance to the Executive, with the ultimate focus being on the company that the Executive works for, or the Executive Coach can provide assistance to the Executive, with the ultimate focus being on the Executive personally, which in turn will have an impact regarding the company.

I am the latter with regard to Executive Coaching services, as well as being a Life Coach for anyone who desires assistance from a coach, as long as the circumstance or situation being presented is one that I have knowledge and understanding about, in order to enter into the coaching relationship.

Change The Entire Course Of Your Company

Change the entire course of your company

I am speaking to business OWNERS!

I am an Executive/Life Coach and created my company Motivation Made Simple two years ago this month(March 2013).

I have spoken to allot of people and in the course of having those conversations, one thing remains clear.

In order for a person to not only run their business effectively, but for the business to grow…The individual(s) who runs the show MUST grow THEMSELVES.

What do I mean by this?

The following are what I mean:

Change your mind, change your ways, or rather the outcomes:

Let’s begin here.

People believe that just because they have been functioning the same way for, let’s say, 5,10,15 years, that nothing can be changed, or they don’t even consider it.

This cannot be further from the truth.

Shifts in mindset happen instantaneously!

Yes, it will take some doing to change processes, procedures, etc., but from the moment YOUR mindset shifts, everything that follows is a whole heck of allot easier.

Change comes from YOU:

Because you are the “captain of the ship” change should come from YOU.

Again, a shift in mindset is instantaneous!

EXAMPLE: I use to have the mindset of attaining Executive/Life Coaching clients on a one-on-one basis, and to consult with them about every two hours.

NOW, I see ROOMS FULL of people all at once!

SEE!

A shift in mindset!

Obviously my processes and procedures must follow to be able to accommodate this change in mindset.

A Change, changes the leader and the others will follow:

What better example of what to do next and how, than the leader themselves?

change in a company happens from the top down.

Once given the opportunity, or rather talking to a skilled Executive/Life Coach who has a business and relationship-building background, “the stratosphere is the limit” for a leader because of the inner peace, and therefore free-flow of creativity can now take place.

I am not saying that this road is quick and easy.

You must be willing to do the work that it takes to invest in YOURSELF in order to see clear results.

However, who is more worth it than you?

A shift in mindset happens INSTANTANEOUSLY!

Why not RIGHT NOW?

Change the Lids and They Still Fit

CHANGE YOUR MIND CHANGE YOUR LIFE

This morning I noticed that there were two hair care products sitting on the sink in my bathroom which I had used on my daughter’s hair the previous day.

What was remarkable about what I saw was that I, in a haste to have my daughter go to bed in a timely manner for school the next day, had reversed the lids to each hair care product but THE LIDS STILL FIT! CHANGE YOUR MIND, CHANGE YOUR LIFE.

As I assessed what I had done, I realized that a metaphor was emerging just from a consistent stare in wonderment, that I had reversed the lids to  the two of these much needed and appreciated hair care products!

What is the metaphor? You may be asking. PATIENCE!

I’m certainly going to tell you!

First let us recognize the differences in these two hair care products and then their similarities.

Differences: The container of each product was a different color, the design and packaging were different, the consistency of the products themselves were different, and ultimately the “holding” strength was different.

Similarities: The VISIBLE similarities, were that they were both for the hair, both were meant to hold the hair in place, both smelled really good, and obviously the lid sizes were the same, and the lids were the same color.

A Change in Perspective

Although there were both similarities and differences comparatively, BOTH products ultimately provided the SAME RESULT…..TO HOLD THE HAIR IN PLACE!

Although our external packaging may look different, ultimately WE are more alike than different but WE are all certainly ONE so the Lid Still Fits!

Life Lessons from Scrooge

Scrooge Teaches Us To Take A Deeper Look Inside

I have always wanted to write about the character Scrooge from the story, A Christmas Carol, and the lessons he taught us regarding business and life; The fact that we affect our business dealings and relationships if we have not “grown” as an individual.

Kristen Lamb also utilizes the Scrooge character to teach valuable lessons. refer to an article entitled:What Ebenezer Scrooge Can Teach Us About Great Writing.

How can this be the case you may ask?

The answer is that there may be aspects of ourselves which may be causing us pain, sorrow, fear, anger, etc., that we are carrying with us every day that we wake up, and are not willing to take a deeper look inside.

Why is this important? Well, what has the potential to happen from day to day, week to week, month to month, or year to year, is that deep rooted emotions may lie dormant inside of us until something or someone reminds a particular emotion to wake them up!

The character of Scrooge carried allot of emotions outwardly that were indicators that he had other things going on, on the inside!

For Scrooge, he woke up each and every day, and wore his emotions in much the same way that someone would put on a coat before walking out the door.

Scrooge was a perfect example of someone who allowed so much time to go by without addressing what was bothering him, that he affected everyone he came in contact with, whether personally or in business.

Scrooge Looks Deeper

If you know the story of Scrooge, you realize that Scrooge was visited by three ghosts who would change the course of his life.

For the sake of this article, let’ s pretend that each ghost actually represented a part of Scrooge’s conscience.

DEEPER STILL…

Each aspect of Scrooge’s conscience had to come directly TO Scrooge because it came directly FROM Scrooge!

The ghost of Christmas Past: This part of Scrooge’s conscience appeared so that Scrooge could gain clarity about a series of events which he perceived to have impacted his life in the present.

The ghost of Christmas Present: This part of Scrooge’s conscience appeared, giving him the opportunity to appreciate the HERE and NOW. That Scrooge could truly learn to “Like life.”

I LIKE LIFE!

The ghost of Christmas Future: This part of Scrooge’s conscience appeared for Scrooge to realize that he, himself is the creator of his Future, and that whatever he perceives it to be, he has the opportunity to change it.

Change your mind, change your life!

If YOU look deeper, the character of Scrooge really does teach us many different life lessons.
